Places to Go

ABOUT BUENOS AIRES

At a first glance you wonder, did I get the wrong flight? Looks like I am in Europe with all these buildings. But... just take a walk on its streets and talk to the friendly people that you will be sure that you are in Buenos Aires. Nice people always willing to help you with a very good sense of humor.

Being around Buenos Aires is really very pleasant. Busy streets, people in a hurry, but with nice shops and restaurants and beautiful architecture with museums, theatres and libraries from the beginning of 20th century.

Another very good thing about Buenos Aires is the food. It is a great pleasure to eat in Buenos Aires. Everywhere you go you will find fine restaurants with all choices of meals and wines, but definitely what you can’t miss is the Parrillada (BBQ). Delicious! Worth a try.

After lunch you can go for a walk around the city. Everywhere you go you will see interesting buildings, cafés, parks, etc.

Another good place to take a walk is Santelmo, the traditional neighborhood with music arts, crafts ands valuable antiques all together in a big open street market.

Nightlife is another highlight of this place. Bars, clubs, theaters and Milongas (places to dance Tango) A very good option is to go to a Tango House (there are some very good options) where you can see the history of this harmonic and romantic music that is the passion of this people.

But Buenos Aires is not only food and music. You also have some very interesting tours, as the Delta of the River Tigre. There, where streets are rivers and houses are built in islands you can see a different way of living of the people there, with big houses and a very magnificent Casino.

A little bit away from great Buenos Aires you will find the Estancias, big ranches where the Gauchos live. It is a full day with beautiful landscape in a very pleasant ranch with a great music and dance show, not mentioning, again, the very famous parrillada.

These are some of many interesting features of Buenos Aires, definitely a place where music, art and food get together to give us a very fun and unforgettable time.
