Located in front of the famous Copacabana beach and close to Ipanema, the five-star Sofitel Rio de Janeiro Hotel is considered one of the most prestigious hotels in the city. The hotel has 388 rooms and 66 suites including two non-smoking floors. Some of the amenities offered by the hotel include a VIP “Imperial Club” business floor, International and French cuisine, the Atlantis coffee shop, and the Horse’s Neck English pub. The hotel also features 10 meeting rooms able to accommodate up to 2000 people, a business center with 13 rooms, two swimming pools, a fitness center, a sauna, a Turkish bath, and access to beauty salons and shops.

We were concerned that the hype was too much, and that in the end our stay would be a little disappointing. But we were so wrong! Having traveled quite a bit and been fortunate enough to have stayed in some of the best hotels possible, we can honestly say that the Copa is for sure among the cr�me of the crop. It delivered 100% on its promise. We are big time fans, and thanks so much for recommending it for our honeymoon!
