YACUTINGA LODGE

The Yacutinga Lodge is an environmentally friendly Lodge and Private Wildlife Nature Reserve located in the heart of the Argentinean Rainforest, surrounded by the Iguazú National Park. A truly alternative vacation, the Yacutinga Lodge offers a glimpse into the rich wonders of the rainforest, far from mainstream tourism. The Lodge and its Wildlife Refuge are located on the Upper Iguaçu River, in the northeastern extreme of Argentina, just 60 km away from Iguaçu Falls. Only 4 hectares out of the 570-hectare property have been used to build this unprecedented ecotourism complex, and special care has been taken to minimize negative impacts on the natural environment. The Yacutinga Lodge offers tour packages of a minimum of two nights and three days. Guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as bird-watching, educational hikes, and river rafting. The nature guides are bilingual and provide a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Aside from the invigorating nature trips, guests can cool off at the lush jungle pool, or during the winter, warm up by the bar’s fireplace. All tour packages include meals at the lodge’s restaurant, which serves locally grown, natural cuisine. The lodge offers 20 comfortable and originally designed suites reflecting the rugged natural environment. Rooms include woodstoves, a private bathroom, and hot water showers 24 hours a day. (Note that a visit to Iguaçu Falls is not available through these tours and visitors should allow a few extra days in the region to visit them.)
